A Nigerian widow has shared a heartbreaking story about the lengths she went to in trying to save her husband.
Her husband was diagnosed with kidney failure and required N45 million for a transplant.
Determined to raise funds, she approached several popular social media influencers and philanthropists to share his story.
According to her, the influencers asked for payment before posting, with each having their own rate cards.
She alleges paying over N7 million through intermediaries, including:
N5 million to Tacha
N1 million to King Mitchy
N750,000 to Maryann
After payments, the influencers did post, but the donations were almost negligible compared to the N45 million needed.
Tragically, her husband passed away without receiving the transplant.
She emphasizes that all financial decisions were made jointly with her husband, motivated by love and hope. She is speaking out to warn others about potential pitfalls when seeking help from influencers during emergencies.
All three influencers named in her account have denied receiving any money.
