Kano state Magistrate Court has ordered two popular TikTok content creators, Idris Mai Wushirya and Basira Yar Guda, to get married over viral ‘indecent’ videos within 60 days.
A Kano Magistrate Court ordered TikTok influencers Idris Mai Wushirya and Basira Yar Guda to marry within 60 days after charging them with producing indecent videos, a decision enforced by the state’s Hisbah Board and verified by outlets like Punch and Daily Trust.

The case stems from a viral video featuring the duo in compromising acts, following Mai Wushirya’s October 7 remand in custody and an arrest warrant for Guda, underscoring Kano’s application of Sharia-influenced censorship laws.

Meanwhile, authorities emphasized that the acts violated existing laws in Kano prohibiting the production and dissemination of sexually suggestive materials.
